A friend sent me this clip from Timber Timbre’s last album, which I missed when it came out. I love how spooky and David Lynch-like the visuals are:

Earl Sweatshirt is back releasing new tracks, and they’re great, lyrical, and introspective – “get up off the pavement, brush the dirt up off my psyche.” The video also has a dark, hypnotic quality – especially when those menacing giant frogs start popping up. Really into how far OFWGKTA is taking hip hop from the shiny, materialistic mainstream where it’s been parked for the last decade, especially since they’re becoming so popular.

I guess something about the change in seasons lends itself to some introspective music. Or maybe it’s just the rain and the fog in Santa Cruz.
